Dubbel S — born Shaun Saiyan — is a Toronto-based open-format DJ whose sets refuse to stay in one lane. Born to Trinidadian and Grenadian roots, raised in the GTA, and sharpened on The Front Line Radio's weekly rotation, he's spent the last four years building a catalogue that swings through Soca, Dancehall, Afrobeats, R&B, Hip-Hop, New Jack Swing, Calypso, Funk Soca, and Lovers Rock without ever losing the floor.
His annual signature series Pace & Waist (summer) and The Soca Recharge (Trinidad Carnival season) have become a calling card for Toronto's Caribbean event circuit. His Pop Up Shows — themed one-offs at clubs, after-parties, and private events — are where the genre-hopping gets experimental.
